Base Station - DC5W

NDI's base station is used in conjunction with NDI-W.I.N., a real-time wireless inventory management solution.

NDI-W.I.N. wirelessly transmits collected data to a host, in real-time, eliminating the need for manual uploading. Data is sent from a DC5W wireless datacomputer, to the base station, then to the host.

The base station allows for seamless roaming capability, has a low operating voltage, and has lower power consumption. Up to 62 DC5W datacomputers can communicate to one base station with the base station having 63 frequency channels per base.

Housed in a compact enclosure for desktop use, the base station has a built-in rechargeable battery pack and a standard DB-9 port for direct cable connection to a PC's RS-232 serial port. Front panel LED indicators reflect power and communications status.

Based on 2.4GHz frequency hopping spread spectrum technology, the base station provides extraordinary range while providing immunity to jamming and multipath fading. It features high data rates (460Kbps over the air) and long range (over 5 miles) using external gain antennas.
